"2012 is set to be a monumental year. It’s already got 366 days in it (yes, it’s a leap year), Her Majesty The Queen celebrates her 60th year on the throne and the world will be united in Sport as athletes and fans from all over the globe descend onto London.

So, to welcome in the year where Heroes and Heroines from all walks of life with be made and celebrated, we’re asking viewers of MTV Music, MTV Base, MTV Hits, MTV Rocks and MTV Dance to crown their modern-day music heroes!"

Linkin Park masuk dalam nominasi Rock Heroes! Di dalam kategori ini juga ada Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Muse, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, dan Snow Patrol sebagai saingan.

Vote mereka sebanyak-banyaknya di sini! Voting akan berakhir pada 22 Januari 2012. Sedangkan pemenang akan diumumkan pada 4 Februari mendatang di MTV Music.
