Mike & Phoenix's BDay Challenge

Music For Relief telah bekerja sama dengan Crowdrise, kali ini untuk memberikan upaya penggalangan dana yang paling mengejutkan : Mike & Phoenix BDay Challenge! Ulang Tahun Mike Shinoda dan Phoenix jatuh dengan tanggal yang cukup dekat, yakni keduanya pada awal Februari, dan mereka sedang mencari untuk mengambil keuntungan dari itu dalam rangka memberikan fans hadiah untuk sumbangan mereka kepada MFR.

Sebuah postingan di Facebook menjelaskan :

Mike & Phoenix are giving up their birthdays for Music For Relief and they're feeling a little competitive.

Whoever raises the most amount of donations for their bday gets to pick something out for the other to wear for 24 hours. The bet ends on February 21st.

Fans dapat mengirim sumbangan dari mereka baik melalui halaman Shinoda atau halaman Phoenix di situs Crowdrise.

Linkin Park menambahkan jadwal di Polandia

Linkin Park baru saja menambahkan jadwal shownya, yakni  di Stadium Wroclaw, Wroclaw, Polandia pada tanggal 5 Juni 2014.

We are so excited to announce we will be playing a headline show in the beautiful city of Wroclaw. June 5th. Stadium Wroclaw.

Bagi anda yang telah menunggu lama tentang berita terbaru dari Kegiatan  Linkin Park di Studio, baru saja diketahui ternyata Mike Shinoda telah mengupdate berita terbaru tentang kegiatan mereka di studio.

As many of you have already noticed, I’ve been away from my blog / Twitter / Instagram for a while, since we’re pretty deep into the writing and recording process. I wanted to take a moment to tell you about what’s going on.

As most Linkin Park fans know, the sound of each album is usually quite different from the last. The new album is no exception. But as usual, the album’s sound twists and turns as it is created, so any attempt at estimating what it sounds like today would be silly. The moment I tell you it sounds like “X”, the songs will automatically take a drastic turn and evolve into something different within a week.

But what I can tell you is I’m inspired. We’re inspired.

The band is trying all kinds of things we haven’t before. First of all, we’re not in the same studio. All our previous albums (except MTM) were recorded at the same studio; this album is not being done there. All our previous albums were done with a producer at the helm; this album has largely been self-produced. We normally write in a organized and regimented style, recorded into the computer; this album has been the product of a mix of focused experimentation and free form jamming. We’re even tracking parts to tape instead of going exclusively digital.

I’ve been spending 10-12 hours a day in the studio–jamming, experimenting, writing, recording, re-writing, re-recording…searching for the sound that truly captures where we’re at as a band right now. Something bold and energetic. Something with a balance between the chaos and order.

As ever, we’re digging deep to craft the best songs that will set the tone for the next step, that will draw a line between what we’re doing and everything else.

We can’t wait for you to hear it this summer.

STPB membatalkan semua jadwal shownya

Terdengar berita bahwa Stone Temple Pilots telah membatalkan semua jadwal shownya. Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington telah mengumumkan mereka membatalkan semua acara yang akan datang, masalahnya adalah penjadwalan studio yang memproses rekaman album baru mereka lebih lama dari perkiraan semula. Sebuah pernyataan dari penyelenggara Soundwave Festival, sebuah festival selama seminggu yang STPCB diharapkan untuk bermain pada akhir Februari dan awal Maret, berbunyi :

"The recording of the new [Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington] album has now gone beyond schedule and sadly the availability of the recording studio, engineers and the producer or lack thereof dictates that the band have had to cancel their upcoming engagements."

Semua tiket yang telah terbeli akan dikembalikan kepada pembeli.

Sebuah berita di linkinpark.com mengabarkan adanya kolaborasi antara Chester Bennington dan Porsche, yang telah menghasilkan t-shirt edisi terbatas "Chester Bennington for Porsche Design". T-shirt ini tersedia hanya di toko Desain Porsche di SoHo, di New York, dengan harga $ 109 USD.

Chester Bennington akan berada disana untuk acara meet & greet di New York pada 8 Februari nanti di mana salah satu pembeli dapat memiliki kesempatan untuk bertemu dengannya dan memiliki kesempatan untuk mendapatkan tanda tangan darinya.
